            Veteran actor with more than 45 years on scene, he has worked in countless soap operas, TV series, movies and Theatre plays. Alejandro Casares Tommasi was born in Mexico on August 14th, 1957. His mother was a Concerto Pianist Italian ascendant woman , art and life lover, which had been the greatest influence in the life of the actor.

 

             Alejandro Tommasi besides his undeniable gift for acting, he is also a great Pianist, Singer, Poet and writer.

            The life of the Veteran Actor was never easy, his father died when was a child, leaving a widowed woman with 7 children, no job, no money. Gladys, Alejandro’s mother, was a brave and a strong woman who couldn’t let her family to fall apart, not even because of such tragedy. That being so, Gladys raised her children under the teachings of hard work, exploiting another one of her greatest talents: in the kitchen. Selling delicious food is the way Gladys recovers economic stability along with a strong family union, being Alejandro the most important support of his mother, together build strong foundations again after the loss of Mr. Casares.

 

            In 1965, Alejandro enrolls himself into the National Nocturne Music Conservatory (INBA) in Mexico where he studies piano, singing, sol-fa and music. His Art passion and his unique talent took him almost immediately to start working in Theatre plays ever since 1973, starting with Classic Theatre, Greek, English, Spanish and Shakespeare; having working in more than 65 plays throughout his life! Later on, in 1976, he decided to enroll himself into the Art Drama Centre, C. A. (CADAC, in Mexico) where he studies professional Acting with teaches such as Héctor Azar, Oscar Fesler and Sergio Jiménez.

 

           One year later, in 1977, he goes to college to complete a Bachelor’s Degree of “Dramatic Art Literature and Theatre” at the UNAM Philosophy Campus. The very next year, in 1978, he got his first acting role on TV in the successful Mexican Soap Opera “Bianca Vidal”, which lasted more than a decade on screen. From that very moment, even being a University student still, he turned into a exclusive Actor for Televisa, one of the greatest Latin American Television companies in the world.

He also enrolled himself into the Theatrical Experimental Centre of the INBA (National Institute of the Beauty Arts in Mexico), during the upcoming 2 years, under the direction of Luis Torner he continues preparing himself in Acting, he also studied Modern Dance with the “Gladiola Orozco’s Independent Ballet”, and a Pantomime Diploma with the Polish teacher Milan Sladek, which had been one of the best students of Marcel Marceau.

 

            In 1979 he got a role on his first mini series called “Videocosmos” by Luis de Llano, and he also got his first movie role in the move “Pum!”, sharing credits with Luis Manuel Pelayo, Sergio Corona and Olga Ramos.

 Later on, in 1980, he’s admitted to the Televisa Training Centre For Actors (CEA in Mexico), where he studies Tahitian Dance, Jazz with Theodore Jameson from Chicago, Ballet with Arcelia Ramirez from the “Royal Academy of Ballet in London”, Singing with Lezdek Zavadka from Poland, and Acting with Martha Zavaleta, Carlos Telles and Miguel Sabido. At the very same time, he enrolls himself into the Modern Dance Pilot Groups of INBA from the Ollin Yoliztli Room with Lynn Duran.

            In 1981 he is sent to Los Angeles, California by Televisa to keep studying Acting with Viola Spolin (Games Theatre), Jazz with Rusell Clark, Tapp with Lynn Fields, also singing, acrobatics and Piano composition.

 

 Next year in 1982, he got into Theatre “G” in Mexico, directed by Juan José Gurrola and during the upcoming years he studied Singing with Mario Gensollén, Lupita Molina, Ledzeck Savadka, Enrique Aguilar and Lazaro Muñiz.

 

 Since the first time Alejandro put himself on stage and screen he hasn’t stopped his work, being continuolsy active in Soap Operas, Theatre and Movies. In 2010 he releases his first Album called “Te Deseo” (“I Want You”), with original songs written specially for him by Juan Gabriel, Marco Antonio Solís, Joan Sebastian, Martín Urieta, Lázaro Muñíz, Bruno Danza, Alberto Chávez, to mention a few. He proves once again his immense talent.

 

 

 

 


            His life was not always easy as it seems, the Veteran Actor lost his mother in 2003 due to Hepatitis C complications, years later he is also a victim of the terrible virus, taking him to the end stage, but Alejandro, just as his mother, he was strong enough to fight for his life. So he embarked himself to look for the specific medicine, which he found in India, and also helped by taking the Canadian Supplement Immunotec, the latter one boosts the conventional medicine helping suppressing and expelling the virus from the body. Alejandro recovered his health, without viral traces from the terrible terminal stage illness that took over the life of his mother, thanks to the medicine and supplements.

 

 Despite of the loss of his mother, being in end stage himself, Alejandro never stopped working for movies and TV. He always kept on pushing forward, working hard professionally and internally to recover a strong and solid Health, starting a brand new life.

 

            Alejandro Tommasi has been crowned as one of the best Mexican Actors over 3 consecutive decades with hundreds of National and International Awards, his talent from birth and his peculiar face physiognomy put immediately in the top list of the most wanted Actors for all new starting projects, no matter if it’s a Soap Opera, mini series, film or play. He has been in the most important scenarios of Mexico, including Bellas Artes Palace, Metropolitan Theatre, Blanquita Theatre, to mention a few.

 

            More than 50 films and more than 300 characters in his Acting life, the Veteran Actor Alejandro Tommasi has left a huge important print in the History of Mexican Art. He was recently awarded with Honorary Doctorate by the Ibero-American Cloister.
